As a fully mobile business, Distorted Hair comes to the client. Appointments are carried out at the client's home, with flexible scheduling to suit different routines. Services are currently available in Eindhoven and the surrounding areas. Travel outside this range may be subject to additional costs due to public transport fees.
Travel costs are calculated per appointment using the standard Dutch rate of €0.23 per km from the base location to the client's address. Where public transport is required, the full fare will be added to the appointment total. The exact travel cost will always be confirmed before the appointment is booked.
If additional work is identified during the appointment — whether due to hair condition, density, or a change in the desired result. Pricing will be adjusted based on complexity and product usage and discussed openly before proceeding. If time does not allow for the extra service to be completed in the same sitting, a follow-up appointment can be arranged. In this case, only the cost of the additional service and travel will apply to the rescheduled visit.
Cancellations and reschedules are accepted with a minimum of 48 hours notice prior to the appointment. Requests made within 48 hours will incur a late notice fee of €10. For colour appointments, the 50% security deposit is non-refundable in the event of a late cancellation or no-show. To cancel or reschedule, please get in touch as early as possible so the time slot can be reallocated.
A security deposit is required for all colour services. As products are ordered specifically per client ahead of each appointment, the deposit ensures that costs are covered in the event of a cancellation. The deposit is 50% of the total planned service cost and must be paid a minimum of 2 weeks before the appointment date. The booking is only confirmed once the deposit has been received. In the event of a late cancellation or no-show, the deposit will be retained.
Allergens are taken seriously at Distorted Hair. All products used in the planned service will be reviewed in advance to ensure there is no risk of cross-contamination or use of known allergens. Where there is any uncertainty about a product's suitability, a skin test will be carried out behind the ear prior to the appointment. Skin tests require a minimum of 72 hours to process and are available as a bookable service for €5 plus travel costs. It is recommended to disclose any known allergies or sensitivities at the time of booking.
All client data is stored securely within the Setmore booking platform, accessible only by Distorted Hair. No personal information is shared with other third parties. In line with privacy best practice, data belonging to non-returning clients will be reviewed and deleted after a period of 2 years. Every product used by Distorted Hair is certified vegan and cruelty-free. As a vegan-owned business, this is a non-negotiable standard. No animal-derived ingredients or animal-tested products are used at any stage of any service. Any new products introduced to the kit are vetted for certification before use.
Colour services are available for clients under 16, provided a parent or guardian has completed and signed a permission form prior to the appointment. This is a safeguarding requirement and ensures all parties are fully informed and in agreement before any service takes place. The signed form must be received before the appointment is confirmed.
If the outcome of a service does not meet expectations, please get in touch with Distorted Hair as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours of the appointment. Every concern will be taken seriously and assessed individually. Where a correction is needed and reasonably within scope, this will be discussed and arranged. Clients who have booked using an email address will automatically receive a follow-up notification after their appointment with a link to leave a review.
